"Guerrilla Marketing" has been described as an unconventional system of promoting on a very low budget, by relying on time, energy and imagination instead of big marketing budgets. The term has since entered popular vocabulary to also describe many surprising, non-traditional and unconventional marketing methods generically. While guerrilla marketing was initially used by small and medium sized businesses, it is now increasingly adopted by large businesses.

Guerrilla marketing is usually understood as a way of getting more with less. In an economic environment such as the one we are in now (i.e., a market downturn, recession, or however one wants to describe it), it is more important than ever to get the most from your investments. During the discussion, different guerilla marketing methods from both large and small firms will be introduced, why they can be effective and also some negative consequences.
